How I help
I work with doctors who want to own their practice and keep it that way. Every specialty, anywhere in the U.S. except New Jersey and California. Here's what I do.
New practice start-up
Opening your own practice is a hundred decisions at once: entity setup, payer enrollment, office systems, fee schedules, compliance. I've done it many times, and I'll walk you through it in the right order so nothing stalls your opening date. You make the medical decisions. I handle the rest with you.
Credentialing and enrollment
Credentialing is how a carrier verifies your education, training, licenses, work history and malpractice coverage. Enrollment is how you register with Medicare, Medicaid, PECOS, CAQH and the commercial carriers so you can bill. I handle both, including hospital privileging. One missing document can stall an application for weeks, so I track every piece and keep you updated monthly.
Contract negotiation and renegotiation
Your contract sets what you get paid and when, often for years. I review every term with the carrier before you sign, and I renegotiate existing contracts when the rates no longer make sense. My success rate on renegotiation is 90%. If a carrier tells you their rates are not negotiable, call me before you believe them.
Buying or selling a practice
Most insurance contracts don't come with the keys. Medicare and Medicaid have formal change-of-ownership processes, and commercial carriers usually treat contracts as personal agreements. I plan the credentialing months before closing so there's no gap where you can't bill, and I make sure the paperwork matches how the sale is actually structured.
Compliance and practice support
HIPAA, OSHA, MACRA/MIPS and CLIA are not optional, and they're not one-time projects. I help you set up practical, workable compliance routines and I stay available for the questions that come up in between. You get a straight answer, not a binder that sits on a shelf.
